thanks! i don't know what breed it is, i actually asked thisquestion here but got no definite answers. i guess he is amix of all!!!

yep, he loves that tube!!!

Is there a trick to know if something is treated or untreated? Smell/Color? Staff members around here don't know anything lol.

Hmmmm, i don't any tricks, i just smell them andlook at them. if it smells unnatural or looks too shiny, theni don't get them. but for the tube and other things i boughtonline, since it is from a bunny place (busybunny.com), so i assumed itis bunny safe. i think they claim it to be bunny safetoo. don't know if it is too big an assumption tomake. hopefully not.

Good question, Jace. I was wonderingthe same thing! I am too nervous to give my bunny somethingthat will harm him. I am just going to buy items at onlinestores like busy bunny.

Jace, sometimes you can find the info ontags. For example, at Hobby Lobby there are these littlewhite tags on the shelves with product descriptions. They'resometimes hidden a bit because they're there more for theemployees. But they do say what they've been treatedwith. Untreated stuff usually says "natural" while treatedmight say it's varnished or dyed.

You might also be able to get a phone number from the store to call andask more questions about their products. The people thereshould be able to track down info for you. Some of us havealready done that, so for example I know that the wicker balls anddragongrass mats at Pier 1 are untreated except for a pesticidefumigant. I choose to use them, although a few people havestopped using them now because of that. Just remember thatanything that's imported is probably required to have a pesticideapplied.

I see. We actually have a Pier 1 here so I thinki'll swing by there. About the pesticides... should I rinse or washthem before I give it to Bud?

No, you don't really want to get themwet. Since it's a fumigant instead of a spray, thereshouldn't actually be much of the chemical on there.

As I figure it, it's much safer than a lot of common household chemicals, varnishes, or carpet.:)

Very true. Hope they have at least 5 when I get there ;)

Glad your bunny likes it. I also got one forTina & Turbo but havent given it to them yet. We got a deliveryfrom busybunny just the other day. Ive already given them theircottontail cottage (which they enjoy), not sure if the willow tube andtent will wait till Christmas.

Hi turbotina, isn't Busy Bunny thebest. I've order from them a few times.Unfortunately it gets a little pricey delivering to Canada.:Canada:
