I have been debating posting about this. I'm sure many will think the movie is cheesy...but I've been waiting for it to come out for what feels like forever (and I only heard about it maybe 6 weeks ago).

I've never listened to Abba's music per se.....heard it on the radio maybe - but never been a fan.

But I saw the trailer and information on them making this movie...and I got hooked.

I went to see it Sunday - after buying the soundtrack and singing with it two days last week as I drove out of town to work.

Monday I sang along with it twice while driving - took Art too see it Tuesday (and sang along with it in the movie theater since there was no one close besides Art)....

.....and I want to turn around and go back and see it again - like NOW.

I can't get the stupid music out of my head.....nor some of my favorite scenes.

As the credits were rolling Art's first words were, "So we buy it the day it comes out and use it as a "sing-a-long"?"

I think if I said tomorrow I was going to go watch it again .... he might even go with me (maybe not).

Its all I can do to not buy another ticket and go again...

Anyone else feel that way?

My favorite song was either "Mama Mia!" or "SOS". I loved "SOS" - but I loved Meryl Streep in Mama Mia as she was peeking in at the 3 guys...

I haven't seen the movie... yet, but I saw the musical when it was here a few years ago and I love ABBA's music.
It's always fun to sing along to.

I saw it last Friday and LOVED it!:)I really didn't think it would be as good but I loved every second of it - plus I've seen Dominic Cooper (who plays Sky, Sophie's fiance) on stage in 'The history boys' which is my all time favourite play so I was really excited about that!:D

After it finished I honestly could have gone straight back in and watched it all again.:biggrin2:

I've liked ABBA for years since my mom is Swedish lol :D So I love the songs. But I saw the musical about 2 years ago and it was okay. I wouldn't want to see it again. Then I saw a scene from the movie on a talk show, and wasn't very impressed. Something about Pierce Brosnan and Meryl Streep bothers me I think :? So I don't think I'll see it unless my mom wants someone to go with.
