Male rabbit spraying musky, skunky odor?

My male bun sometimes makes a very strong, skunk-like smell. I thought it was him spraying urine, but I couldn't find any pee anywhere. Does anyone know if he is just releasing the smell, or if he is actually spraying?

Also, why does he do this? Is it territorial?

Could be his scent glands?

I'd wait till others give their opinions, but I know they have scent glads that you need to clean every so often and if they don't they can produce an odor.

Sounds like scent glands. Hormonal driven behavior and territorial marking can be negated by neutering.
