hi all

i noticed lucy wasnt her self yesterday very lithargic and wasnt eaten anything till i discovered why

lucy has various boxes she nibbles on

well under the cupboard we found a book she had chewed magazines and a giffy bag **

i think she eats the paper not chews it

how can we get past this problem

varna xxxx

Hi Varna. I'm sorry Lucy has not been well. Isshe eating and pooping ok now? Give her plenty of hay to try and passit through her system. If she isn't eating anything, I would get her tothe vet ASAP as it sounds like it might have caused a blockage andcould very well lead to GI Stasis. Have you got any science recovery oroxbows critical carethat you could syringe feed her, if sheis still refusing to eat? Is she drinking?

Try and keep all things that she can nibble on away from her (easier said then done I know). I'll be praying for her :(.

Vickie

*EDIT* - If you dont know anywhere that sells them your vet will havethem of you can buy them both onlinehere.

hi v

thanks alot for the info

we have the science recovery in we are going to give it to her tonight

she just eats it out of her bowl

she has been eaten

eaten her hay and drinking water

tony went mad when he saw the boxes and the giffy bag no wonder she wasnt well and a half chewed topsy and tim book

Aww Varna. I'm glad shes eating now. Thats a good sign. What about poops?

I remember when Daisy chewed up the back of her hutch and with it herplastic raincover. I was so scared. It sure does worry you doesn't it?

The science recovery is very good isnt it when you can give it them ina bowl and they drink it like water or sprinkled ontheirnormal food.

she seems to be pooping well too

have you any suggestions as to what we can give her to nibble on for her teeth

i thought of a wicker ball what do you think

Well the cardboardboxes/toiletrollsare perfectly safe to play withproviding they dont eat too much. If you are too worried about hereating them rather than chewing then obviously dont give them her. I'vefound this onrabbitrehomehow to make your own toys. Have a look herebecause I know that bought ones can be quite expensive.

You can buy some nice hay ball type things at Pets at Home which I'm sure Lucy would love too. Is that like the ones you mean?

Vickie

Oh V I sure hope Lucy is ok now and Lucy do not scary your mommy like that. *HUGS*

Where can I find them wicker balls. I think MeatHead would love it.

lucy is bk to her normal self now but we have removed every box so she cant nibble them

im going to try and go to pets at home next week for a couple of wicker balls for her

can i ask is it ok for her to eat them

what i mean is they wont block her up like the boxes did
