Okay so let's just say my little Penelope is 'going' a lot more than usual lately. Piles and piles. (sorry if that's graphic). It's just that I know bunny digestion is a sensitive thing and I want to make sure this is somewhat normal. She's still growing, and I recently started introducing spinach to her diet, so I'm thinking that must be it. They are normal pellets - no diarreah - so that's good.

Just wanted to ask if anyone else has noticed this is adolescent bunnies? I will change her bedding and withing five minutes there's a huge new 'pile.' haha.

I wouldn't be overly concerned unless the poop is abnormal.

Is she eating more hay? More fiber can cause an increase in poops.

As well as hormones can also play a factor. If she's getting some hormones, her urge to make sure her territory is well marked with poops will be getting stronger.

How old is she?

Lots of poop is nothing to be worried about in a growing bun, or any bun for that fact, Lucy used to poop almost her entire weight in poop when she was younger. She'd eat and eat and eat, then poop and poop and poop.
Nothing to worry about here if the poops not abnormal.

THanks for the feedback - relieved now. She is about 7 months Aurora - her hormones are probably kicking in full blast.

input equals output,,the system works..unless this is a sudden onset to a problem,,are they the normal shapped day time poops??,are they gewy??,.does the diet consist of 70% fiber,.timothy/orchard grass??,.sincerely james waller

Yup, 6-7 months is about right for raging hormones.

As long as the poops are well formed, and not mushy, I wouldn't be concerned.

You can pick up the poops and place them in the litter box in hopes that she will pick up that she's supposed to poop in the litter box.

You can also look into getting her spayed at this age.

Hi James, they appear normal and she is getting quite a bit of fiber. She's continued today with a lot of pooping, I think it's just going to be her new thing now. I'll just get the pooper scooper ready :)
