little buddy flip- r.i.p.

so I was packing to leave for florida yesterday and I went to feed my 2 fire-bellied toads and flip was dead!! I got chip and flip over 4 years ago so I think they had a long life!! I felt so sad and starting crying over a little toad! I put him in a little jewelry box and made a little cross for him! I had to leave to get on my flight so I told my finacee to bury him for me!! My fiancee calls me later that evening and told me he picked out a nice spot in the woods near a big stump to lay him to rest. then he told me that he was crying his eyes out all the way down to the house. It's funny how a little creature can have such a big impact on your heart!!

Awww I'm so sorry for your loss!
It is funny how they all touch us so deeply no matter how small or large they are. I know nothing about toads but I'm going to say that 4 years is a long life!
I'm sure he had a wonderful life with you.
And now he's in a really nice place.

I cried a lot when my miracle fish (8 year old white cloud tetra) died, it's weird because I could never do anything with her, just look after her and watch her, but still a big part of my life I suppose. So sorry for your loss.
