Litterbox?

I just put in a small cat litter box into Oliver's cage, on the side he uses as a bathroom. He is now staring at it constantly. Trying to pick it up and move it. He also is rubbing his face all over it, (rubbing his scent glands on it, right?) Do you think he will get use to it and actually go in the litter box? I put shredded paper in there, like I do with just his bare cage, but I really want him to learn that he needs to use a litter box. Really all he is doing right now is rubbing his face allll over it. Lol. Think he will get use to it?

You can put some urine soaked litter in there so he smells that that is where he should go too.

Sounds like our little avatar bunny--she can be a really persistent rat. All of ours got used to using them. We use kiln dried pine for the litter box.

Another sign he needs to get neutered. They can really loose their good citizen badge when the hormones kick in.

Yes along with him humping my arms and legs lol. He's using the box as a bed and popping in the other side now. Sigh. Lol.
