Hey everybody :)

I'm wondering if any of you use hoods on your litterboxes.

Toffee really is perfectly litter trained--and I found out whythere are like 20 poops outside of her box every day; she tracks themout with her. I was thinking a hood might help this...or alarger box?

ALL SUGGESTIONS WELCOME!!!!!

A litter box with a hood might help if she iskicking them out but if she is draging them out with herfeetI doubt it will. How often do you clean her box out?

I clean her box every day. It doesn'tmatter how much is in there, she always manages to track someout. She is kicking some out, and tracking some outalso. i know the hood would at least cure part of the problem- I guess the question I had about the hood is how the buns like itcompared to open. thanks :)

I think it depends on the bun and on what thereused too. I can only surgest that you try it and see what happens.sorryI couldnt help more perhaps someone else might be ableto help:D

Hi Michelle,

Toffee would probably spend more time in the litter box if there was ahood over it. Rabbits like to have thingsover their heads as it makes them feel more secure. Also they would use it to hide in, or to sleep. :D

Pebbles has the odd poop pop out whenshe jumps out of her litter box, but that is fine with me.

You mentioned a larger box.....how about a box with highersides? This might stop some of the poosfrom getting kicked out. I put higher edges on minebecause Pebbles likes to sit with her bum over the edge when shepees. Now she can't do it.

Rainbows! :)

LOL about the reason for the high sides!

Well I think I am going to try the hooded deal. I think this might solve the little problem! Andshe'll probably like the little cove....thanks i'll let you knwo whathappens!

We use a large storage bin for a litter box. Ithelped tremendously with the poop kicking problem. Judy digs in the boxand it also keeps that from getting too messy. Also, the bins costabout $3.

I have a dish pan I got at the dollar store thatwould probably work great. I've never thought of using ituntil now! It's about the same size as our litter pan, but ithas higher sides.
