Litter training

My rabbit is a female and she’s about 5 months old and is not spayed yet. She is very good about using her litter box while she’s in her cage with both pee and poop, but this is not the case when she’s not in her cage. She poops everywhere as well as pees. It’s not even a spraying type deal she just goes wherever. How should I train her to use a litter box when she’s not in her cage ?

Hormonal rabbits can be impossible to train. Even baby rabbits that litter train can "forget" that habit when they reach this age.

Spaying should make a huge difference.

In the meantime, does she have easy access back to her cage when she is out getting her exercise?

Yes she does, I leave the latch open so she can come and go as she pleases. Which she does, but not to use her litter box it seems
