Is it too soon to try and start litter training my bunny in his cage?

I have had him for 8-9 days now or should I give him more time to settle in to his new home? As currently I'm playing move the litter box around game with him as he will change his bathroom area every time I move the litter box there and I have put some of his poop and urine wet bedding in the box to try and to entice him to go there with some success but mainly failures. He is 9wks old now.

9 weeks?
phew, good luck with that.
he's way too young to learn where to pee and poo, their attention span is very short and I think that you'll have to wait for a couple of more months to see some results.
I know that some bunnies are 'born with it' but others just need training. Anyhow, I think you'll have to put up with the p&p some more :sweep

Give it time!

What worked with my Bunny was having NO bedding, just flooring (child play puzzle mats) and having wood pellets in her litter pan. I also put some hay in there for her to munch as she goes! I also found that once I got her a bigger litter pan (kitty one from the dollar store) she really started using it ;)

Chive started to use her litter pan when she was about 10 weeks old!

Just because it may not work, doesn't mean it's not good to start as early as possible. I say keep at it and just be persistent :)

Of course, if (s)he is in for it, great, I'm just saying it may not work and don't get disappointed if it happens because it's not their fault :)
