My bunnies have been doing well with both their litter box and bedding since I got them (I had to get bedding because I made a mistake of getting a cage with a pull out tray and the flooring hurts their feet. ) but recently they've started to pee and poop on their bedding instead of their litter box. Does this mean I don't need the litter box any more or ...? :?

I think with the bedding everything might look like a litterbox to them. I use small fleece blankets on the floor of the cage its soft on the feet and makes for easy cleanup for accidents just roll it up take it outside shake and wash.

I do the same thing. I have two types of crates, one with wire and one with plastic bottoms. I use towels in both . The boys love to snuggle in them and flop. They know where the litter box is and they have no problems.

K :)

Mix the bedding/litter in the litter box, leave the rest of the area free of everything (assuming its not a wire bottom). They'll lay on a plastic bottom happily :D

I said my cage has a wire bottom, hence this dilemma . :lookaround

Actually I believe you said it had a pull out floor, I failed to read that as wire bottom, my apologies. Then I would get another cage. Wire bottoms are really rough on sweet bunnies feet. NIC cages work, as well as xpens.
