Hey guys, as I'm new to all of this I always have questions!!!
I am wondering how often I should clean out my 6 week old mini lops litter box? I've been told not to clean it too often as she will smell and know thats where she has to go as I'm litter training her.. But I also don't want to not clean it out often enough..

Also, is it normal for buns to sit there and there bellys be moving fast? like their fastly breathing? Just curious with this one.

Let me know please :)

When you start smelling the litterbox, or when it starts looking damp and gross, change it! I do mine once a week, but it depends on the litter you use and how big the box is. You can save a few poops or a scoop of the dirty litter to sprinkle over the changed litter to retain some smell.

Bunnies do breath fast compared to us, it's probably normal.

I'm not sure about the fast breathing. It could just be a normal thing if it is just for a moment, but if your bun seems to be straining at all when urinating, then it could indicate a health problem.

I clean mine once every 1-2 days. Not because it smells, but I don't like to think of him sitting in a pile of his poop.

If you're worried about the litter training, when you clean out the tray, set some of the soiled litter and poops aside and once you've added the fresh litter, put that small amount of soiled stuff back in the tray as a reminder.
