Whoppie...we are on a roll! Remember I am taking changes or substitutions until Thursday this week. After that, absolutely no changes as I'm running the paperwork! See you soon! Cheryl

They got 2 more years to go. This fall if they do pass. But I heard from somebody that is the new SOP book they were talking about the Lionheads and Lion lops. Which ever comes first to be approved.. I dont know though. But heard it from somebody else.

To my knowledge there is no standard out there for Lionlops (well really - no COD (certificate of development)).

From what I've been told by ARBA judges - if lionheads pass - lionlops would not be likely to get approved for a COD because they would not be enough different.

But that was three years ago I think.

I'm not sure though that ARBA is open to the idea of lionlops....just from lots of discussions I have had with folks who've been breeding a while.

Does this mean theres a better chance of geting them approved by arba? Im geting annoyed with waiting for a yay, no more nays.
Lionheads have been having a national show since....2003 maybe? I'm trying to remember - I think their first show was in 2003 in Rhode Island. (I helped write the history portion for the last Lionhead guidebook - you'd think I'd remember!!!).

Until lionheads pass ARBA - their National shows will always be held at OSRBA - the Ohio state show.

Once they pass and are a breed....then the club may decide to move the show around on an annual basis like other national clubs do.
