My Peaches is a lionhead - he has long fur on his head & butt (so much on his butt that it makes his butt much longer).

The fur on his back is ultra soft but the fur on his mane & butt are 1: longer and 2: fuzzy.

If I brush him, he's all super soft but if I just pet him, the texture is a bit like running your fingers through cotton ball strands. The fur is super dense on his butt but long on his face but not so dense..

Is this what lionhead fur is like?

Thanks Pam - I understood a bit of that, not much - so if what I'm reading/understanding is correct, it's normal to have different types of fun on the body - on the head it's long and fine & crinkly, on the body it's short and supersoft, and on the butt it's full of torn newspaper and dense.

I know he's not a show bunny (I think his back feet are too narrow) but he sure is an affectionate pet!

Yes, the fur on the body is different than the undesirable flank wool. The mane should be dense, long, and have a crimp to the wool.
