The pink kit that is bigger was the first born. It was born in the nest box before 6 am. The smaller brown kit was born on the wire between 9-11 am. I put it straight into the nest box. Maybe it's the peanut? Hopefully not! :)

too cute!! I want baby bunnies SO badly, but couldn't afford to fix and house them all if it was a big litter and there's already so many bunns looking for homes :(

Same here~ :(

I don't think he's a peanut...but it's hard to see his features. Lengthwise, he appears to be almost as long as little fattie, lol. He's pretty skinny though.Has she fed them yet? Kits won't live longer than 48 hours without being fed, so I'm concerned about the little one.

It depends on the time of day you check on them in relation to when momma will feed them. My momma buns feed either early in the morning or at night. Try checking around those times of day and you should see big round ping pong bellies on the babies.

Its really hard to see the other baby so i am not sure about a peanut unless there is a better picture of him.

Here's some pics I took of the kits today!:

Sorry the pics arn't the greatest, it's hard to get them to stay still! Can any of you tell if the little one is a peanut or not? :)

He doesn't look like a peanut to me. He seems to be well formed, just not as rotund as the other one.

They are beautiful!! Neither one is a peanut. I have had a few peanuts born in my litters in the past. If you see one you will instantly know that it is a peanut. They are about the size (if not smaller) than an actual peanut. They are skin and bones. They just do not look right. They almost always die. I have actually seen a 8 month old harlequin Mini Rex that was a peanut. It was the size of a 3-5 week old baby. It was very cute. The guy who had him said that if he found a mate for it it would cost $15K to purchase.

Good luck with the babies. They grow up way to fast. Play with them every day. Take LOTS of pictures.

Thanks! :) I've heard two different opinions on this topic but is it alright that I handle the kits this early? People have told me that it is fine because the rabbit knows your scent and other people say that the rabbit will abandon/kill the babies.

I already have handled them, not a lot of course but they will be fine right?

I have always handled all of my kits from day 1 with no problem. Most breeders will tell you that it is ok to handle them early. I think that the thing with not handeling thm until they are older is more to do with hamsters, gerbels, mice, rats etc... but NOT bunnies.

Why don't you give warning before posting such adorable bunny pictures?!~ Congrats :)

My Flemish girl just had 6 babies on Sunday. Soo cute! I go out and check on them daily.. pull each one out of the nest, give them a check over, show momma I'm not hurting them and back they go.

I can't wait until they get fur!

Momma is really good with her kits so far.

Congratulations!!!!!!!
