My little dwarf lionlop is about three months old and when we got him at around seven weeks he seemed as light as a feather. He has grown somewhat but he still feels incredibly light in comparison with the other rabbits. Just for fun we weighed him on the kitchen scale today and he was mere 681 gr (1.5lb). I wonder what he will weigh when he is grown up. At this rate it might not be much more than 2 lb. Is that possible? Has anyone experience with this type of breed? Sabine
P.S. He is very healthy and fun and cuddly. Unlike the others he loves being picked up and always comes running up to us. He is like a little toy

For a dwarf, I would guess "average" to be about three pounds-ish. It's harder to tell with a cross breed that doesn't yet have an ARBA standard to go by. I could be wrong, since this is not a cross I am familiar with, mabye someone who has had a lionlop before will pop in here.

My girl Dae was a very small girl, one of the biggested girls in the litter but they were all small. At 3 months she was probably the same weight and she is now just over 3 lbs. She is a year and 5 months old. Her mom weighed in the upper 3 lbs and her dad weighs 4.6 lbs on adverage so she is small for her parents' weights. She is longer in body which is what gives her the weight she has so he will probably weigh alittle less. He will probablyhit max young senior weight at 8 months or so, however I have found with rabbits the older(3 and up)they get the fatter they get if they keep healthy.

Have you tried giving him oats? If he has a fat belly he should be fun but old fashion rolled oats(uncooked) will pack on the weight. I use it for my babies to keep them fat because they can get down to skin and bones in no time.

He is mainly eating grass and hay and some junior dwarf pellets. At the moment he has quite a bit of exercise being out in the garden. I expect without all the fur he might look rather skinny. He just feels so much more delicate than Coco's babies:
