I've had a few bad weeks, so I've compiled a few friendly reminders for whomever may be interested:
If you can't swim, wear a life jacket.
If it's unfamilar water, don't dive in.
If you have a pool and any kids/teens are in the area - cap, cover, lock it.
If the barriers are down, don't cross the tracks. You CAN'T beat it.
Methis not cool. Not even once.
Babies can't help it. Don't shake them. EVER.
If the garbage disposal clogs turn the power off before sticking your hand in the hole, no matter how fast you think you are.
Don't do it. Those you would leave behind DO care even if you don't realize it now.
___
If you insist that your dog needs to go with you to Wal Mart while you buy personal products, before you leave - go sit in your car with the windows barely cracked for the estimated time you'll be in the store. Then add another 45 minutes to what you think your quick "in and out" will take. At 3:00pm. In the full sun. (go ahead, cheat - get out. you wont make the time limit anyway)
A full water bucket when you put it out doesn't mean it'll be standing 5 minutes later. Planning on going outside "tomorrow" doesn't guarantee a dogs comfort/safety for any 24+ hour timeframe.
Children should not be allowed to "groom" animals unsupervised. Especially long haired dogs that have sensitive ears hidden in matts of hair.
Keep your dryer closed when not in use. Cats sometimes like to sleep in the warm, fluffy "beds" of newly dried loads.
