Now I'm worried about Bugsy. He has been lethargic the last few days. We open up the cage for them to come out and play and he doesn't even want to come out. Yesterday, my son got him to come out so he (my son) could clean the cage and he (Bugsy) promptly found an open carrier to hide in. This is not like him. He is usually mellow, but still plays. No issues with poops, eating fine. Is he ok?
Money has gotten worse, so I don't know that I can take him to a vet right now. I will have student loans soon. I was really hoping that money could go to other things, like getting caught up on bills or even getting me and my son to Florida for Christmas. If I need to spend it on Bugsy, of course I will.

Are you sure he is eating the same amounts and that his poop is normal? Has anything about his eating changed? Usually a change in eating habits and poop is going to be your first sign something is wrong. Have you looked him over just to see if there is anything noticeable externally?

The bunnies live together, so I don't know whose poop is whose, but all of the poop looks like it always has. They both crowd me at feeding time, all excited, and eat plenty of hay. The only external stuff is matting. When I get my loans, I'm going to take him to be shaved.

Well, he just hopped around the dining room a little bit, then went to a place behind his cage where he likes to lay down. He found a little hay that had come out of the cage and used his paw to make it easier to eat. So cute! Still concerned though.
