I was thinking about making my buns some toys out of some stuff I have lying around here. I had a question, though, that a Google search could not answer. I was hoping someone here could help me out.

I am an avid crafter and bought some leather cord strips to make a small dreamcatcher for a friend. The leather came in a big bag from Hobby Lobby and are varrying lengths. I guess it was a cast off type thing. I got it because it was cheaper than the spools.

So, if I braid them or attach them as danglies to something would it be okay for my bunny? Can bunnies chew on leather? I almost forgot to mention the leather was purple. Thanks for any help!

Unfortunately I don't believe leather is any good for bunnies to chew on. It's usually prepared with various chemicals so that alone is a big no, the dye probably isn't a safe one either. I would best use something like simple jute twine or maybe sisal to make toys with.
