As we tried to figure last year when I got Latte, we're still not sure what mix he is. I think Pam said he probably has some white rabbit in him because of his blue eyes (maybe Polish). Other than that . When I got him, they said he was 'seal point,' which I'm still not sure if he is. My question today is, can a 'seal point' color change? He was white with dark brown when I first got him, and then the white turned to cream, and now the cream is turning almost brown in some parts? Can the color change that drastically? BTW, he's 1.5 years old and was 6mths when I got him.

Here's a photo of him from a few days ago:

His face is getting darker (see how he looks like he has mascara that's running) and up his front leg is much darker.

Here's a photo from when I first got him 11.07:

His face and nose were even lighter.

I just thought it was interesting and wanted to know if it's because of his 'point'. If so, will he just continue to get darker as he ages?

:thanks:

He almost looks like he has Siamese Satin in him! He has similar shading...He is SO pretty! We raised Siames Satins for a while and they would change color ever so slightly over time. Some bucks would darken with age. (OR their shading would become less apparent as they got older.) A lot of the pointed breeds will darken as they mature. And those with "smut" (what they call smudges over white) seem to darken as well... ask any Californian breeder!

Latte is gorgous!
