The last shuttle launch is scheduled for today at 2:20 p.m. EST. You can watch it on TV or on your computer. Of course, I will be standing in my front yard watching it go over my house!

With the camera all you can really see is the contrail. With the human eye, though, you could actually see the shuttle and just before it went out of view you could see the first separation.

I thought it was just the last launch for Atlantis?
The NASA website still lists a launch for Discover (target: Sept. 16), and one for Endeavor (target: Nov 10). Both for delivering parts to the space station.

Woops! Color me red. :embarrassed: I kept hearing "final, final, final" on the news and thought this was the last one.

Well, good then! I get to watch two more.
