Lahi is a neutered male Netherland Dwarf. We bought him from a pet store along with his sister, Picca, as babies on January 6, 2006 (We didn't realize at the time that buying rabbits from stores was a bad idea; also he's almost certainly a cross with something, but he was sold as a Dwarf).
We'd initially intended to get two girls, and I named my little black bunny "Lahia". It doesn't mean anything, I just liked the sound. A trip to the vet a few months later corrected our misconception, and he was neutered shortly after.
He had a checkup October 2, 2013, and weighed 5 lbs, and was pronounced in perfect health other than some tiny spurs on his teeth that didn't seem to be bothering him.
Lahi is a quiet, inquisitive bunny. He's not fond of physical affection, and if a human attempts to touch him he'll generally run away. But sit down on the floor in his reach, or lay down on your stomach, and you'll soon have a bunny clambering all over you and sticking tickly whiskers in your face and a probing nose poking you all over.
When I first introduced Delilah to the siblings, Lahi very quickly accepted her. While he wasn't fond of her attempts at dominance, he was more than happy to give her the attention she craved. Not only was he totally accepting of her, he would literally
mediate between Picca and Delilah, who were not getting along nearly so easily: If Delilah's boundless energy started getting on
Picca's nerves too much, Lahi would draw her away and start playing with
her. If Picca started to get too upset about Delilah's antics and
attempts at usurping her dominance, Lahi would reassure her with cuddles
and grooming.
Though not the best bunny for when I want a cuddle, he is so sweet and intelligent. His antics never cease to amuse me.
