Woo hoo!!

Tomorrow is St. Paddy's Day :pinkbouce::pinkbouce::pinkbouce:I can't WAIT! There is a parade on in town so me, the hubby, and a ton of our friends are going to see that. Then meet up around town with other people from school, most of the day will be taken up with a huge shaving foam fight. Which is basically everyone from school running around town squirting eachother when we see them. :D

Then to the pub for the rest of the day for some drinks and to watch a match that is on! Can't wait! I spent ages today working on my eye makeup. I have a really cool design. It's like a small shamrock right beside my eye with another squiggly design coming off it. I'm bad at describing, but I love it, and lot's of different green shades.

One of the best parts of La Fheile Padraig, is no school, woop!

Soooo what are ye all doing? (As far as I know other countries celebrate a bit).

When I went to a Catholic School (kindergarten - 12th grade) we always celebrated and got "green free dress." Now that I'm in college though, less official celebrating.

Tomorrow my University is actually having several events to celebrate the lives of three students who committed suicide in the past month and to raise awareness of the importance of mental health and the importance of putting grades and classes in proper perspective.
I don't think I'll be able to attend them though because Wednesdays are my busiest day. I have a full day of class and during my break I go volunteer and socialize research animals at the vet school (which is great stress relief!) and before dinner I'm going to work with beef heifers for a club I'm in.
I would guess the dining hall might have a themed dinner of sorts though.

Not sure if I bother about the parade but the kids are going with their dad. Looking forward to the lie in:)

Sounds fun!

Im not doing anything today.. the parade in Dublin was always boring! As a younger kid, I thought it was a little fun but I used to be scared of the people on stilts(sp?) and stuff!
Dublin (town) is usually full of drunk people today, who act the idiot bumping into you on the path. Since I live near town, and near 3 pubs, that doesn't help :p

I'd love to go to America (NY) for Paddy's day!

well, this year I am avoiding all the drama of the pup crawl and all the drunk people and staying home, will go out to my parents house for a while, since it is my little brother's 18th birthday today, but other then that I am going to turn off my phone (so I can ignore all the drunk phone calls from friends) and enjoy a peaceful night with the buns

I'm off to a concert(captain tractor) at a pub and looking forward to come green beers.

I love how St. patrick's day is just an excuse to get drunk off green beer on a random day of the week!

It was fun but a bit of a disaster at the same time haha! We started to drink at 9.00am, bulmers and vodka. Then my friend stood on one of my uggs and it RIPPED! Like all around, so I had to take it off cause my foot was just hanging out of it. I went to a cheap shop and bought a pair of shoes, it was so funny. Everyone was looking at me though! The news and the newspaper recorded us and took pictures, it was really funny
