Here's Kitty with her first homegrown junior doe, Kitty's Abby, after winning Reserve Best in Show under Judge Paul Kyle. The Best in Show rabbit is owned by another 4-Her, but was shown by Kitty, too. :)

Really pleased with her Californian program. Kitty's Agent Gibbs won his junior buck class both days. And her senior does took 1st, 3rd, and 4th. Ziva got second in the junior does, under her sister Abby.

Now to get the Flop line going as strong, too...

Congratulations again! That's an awesome accomplishment. Did she get a hub cap with her RIS?

How did the meat pens do dollarwise?

Thanks!!! No hub cap, but even better....a really nice BIG 2-hole carrier. Even has "Reserve Best in Show- 2012" on it.

I sucked at keeping track...but I think she got $5/pound for each pen. She won't get her money until they turn their project books in next month. I don't even know who bought the one pen, but one was purchased by Team Chevrolet. And they were nice and gave them back to her. We found that out on Saturday, when we were taking the last of the bunnies home. I was like, "What? We didn't want them back!" lol

My French Lop babies are all fine, but the Californian babies we took aren't doing well at all. I have the 5 of them off by themselves, but they aren't look good. :(

The rabbit barn there is way nicer than the one here. We finally got them to move the chickens somewhere else 2 yrs ago. Chickens and rabbits are not good together. We have to lug supplies from the loft of one barn all the way to the rabbit/goat/sheep barn. Scary being up in the loft hav to watch your step or you will fall through onto the concret below.

Our rabbit barn used to be horrible, too. They stopped having poultry, thankfully, during that huge bird flu years ago. There's still a small incubator and a cage that houses the hatched peeps. But that's it.

We're going to turn the cages into stacked ones. Currently they all open from the top, and it's hard as heck getting the ones out of the bottom pens (only a few inches, so all rabbits got picked up by the scruff...bad for bunny, and bad for bunny's shoulder skin). We're going to change them to three high, opening with doors in the front. By the time we're done, there will be about 3 whole rows of cage space, to add more cages. Those will come from Pointer Hill. YAY!

We seriously need cages big enough for the Flems, Flops, and Elops!

Kitty is beautiful and her rabbits are incredible! Congratulations on such a successful showing.

I was out past Gettysburg over the weekend and thought of you as we passed the exit on the turnpike.
