I friend of mine whom i've given 2 bunnies to in the past, is in deep poo.
He lives in a housing plan and I guess they came to inspect his houseand he had his bunnies in their house cages and it was all cool, thenhe recieves an eviction notice. Because he has pets. He already talkedtot he judge and I guess he didn't ask permission to have the pets, which he didn't know he had to do.
Oh no bunnies, major threat to the neighborhood.
So he has tog et rid of all his animals by the end of the week or hewill ahve no place to live. He already found home for a cat or two hehad. I'm bunnysitting the two rabbits for the time being until he getsthis all settled and gets permission to keep them. But his two cats, hereally doesn't know what to do with. Him and Jenny are so in love withthese two cats but they know its either the cats or them. And with another baby on the way,t hey can't afford to not have a home.
Ted and Jenny are some of the most dedicated rabbit owners I've evermet. Taking their rabbits for regular strolls through the state parkand showing them in greens and love and lots of food. They always havestories tot ell me and they get excited over the simplest bunny things.("OMG Jesse, Babydoll jumped up on the couch today!")
They said even though they love the cats dearly, they'll do what theymust but the bunnies will NEVER go. They both agree that they can NEVERget rid of these bunnies. They're their adopted children. They said ifit comes to it, they'll move and find a new place to live if they can'tget permission to have the bunnies.
So what i'm asking is.....is there anyone in the western PA,/EasternOH, Basically Tr-State area that is willing, out of the goodnessoftheir heart, to foster 2 well-behaved bunny-safe cats for 3-4 monthsor even give them a permanent home if need be?
I will also be checking with various cat adoption agencies and Petsmartand PEtco. We don't want them to go to a place where euthanization iseven possible. He wanted tot ake them to Animal Friends in Pitt, but Iguess you have to reserve a spot for them there ahead of time.
Any takers? Ideas? We don't have a lot of time. I'll post pictures later.
