So here is what Smudge (7mth, unspayed, 2.2lbs, Dwarf Lionhead Rabbit) is eating.

Morning and evening: 1/4C Pellets. They were alfalfa based ones by Martin, but I am just in the process on finishing the change over to the Timothy based ones, I have been slowing adding in the timothy and removing the alfalfa ones.

Unlimited Timothy Hay, but I got her on the Easter Long weekend and she has only gone through half a 24oz bag of it. I also give her some Alfalfa Hay on occasion, once or twice a week and in small quantities. I use it as a bonding thing and feed to her directly out of my hand or stuffed in a toilet paper roll.

I have also built her up to about a handful of veggies at night, This is mostly Romaine Lettuce, a thick slice of cucumber and a baby carrot sliced up. Sometimes in the morning I give her a few tidbits of apple.

Not sure if exercise plays into to this but she usually gets half hour of free roaming in my living room in the morning and 2 - 5 hours at night. During this time she runs speedly in large circles, does sideways hops, tries chewing on just about anything, drags her stuffed snack around and plays with various toys but still goes back to her cage for litter use, water and the occasional snack.

Is this a good meal plan for her? Am I missing anything crucial, as she is my first Bunny I just want to ensure I am giving her the best I can.

I would Do less fruit and more "healthier" veggies... If that sounds right... Stuff like Kale, Spinach, Endive, Collard greens, Mustard Greens, veggie tops (like turnip) oh theres tons out there, lotsa leafy green things.

And getting her spayed will do wonders for her future health as well.

I just wanted to bump this to see if I could get any other feedback, positive or negative I really want to know.

I keep reading about people not doing right by there Bunny and I want to sure I have not misunderstood anything about rabbit care.

She sounds like she's getting amazing care. :)

If she's not eating much hay, you may have to increase the veggies to make up for it.

My non-hay eater is the little troll in my avatar,:bunnyheart she gets a good four to six cups of salad a night.
