I am starting a small rabbitry would it be ok to put small dog beds in the pen with them in their outside cages? Or could they get moldy and be a breeding ground for insects? I know there are some smiler threads but i want to make sure that my rabbits could not get sick from doing this?
Thanks

When I had bunnies outside I used cages with wire bottoms, a piece of wood large enough for them to lay on, and an enclosed side that was bedded with hay both for comfort and warmth.

I woudn't use the dog beds in outdoor cages.

I agree. As long as they're out there, all the time rabbits build up a very warm winter coat and do just fine with some straw to build their own lil 'nest' out of

and luvthempigs is from Northern ohio where its lots colder then NC
