I am a huge fan of a film director called Shane Meadows. I saw one of his films a few years ago and after that, went out and bought all his films and have since been a big admirer.

His new film isn't due out till later this year but he has popped onto his message board and said that he has 5 seats for members of the board. Aghhhh !It's a run through of the film for the technical people, his friends and the stars of the film .. plus drinks with them and a chat about the film after !

I really am so excited .. so far only 3 people .. me included, have said they could make tomorrow .. and Shane said if there is 5 or less then that's cool he wont have to do a hat pick!

I am going to see Le Donk, today ... in a cinema called Screen Room .. it only has 21 seats !! After which, we get the opportunity to tell the great man himself just what we thought of the film.

Heh .. well .. this was amazing. As a complete fan of Shane's work, I feel utterly privileged to have had the opportunity to not only see LE DONK before anyone else .. but we saw it before it's even properly completed. The sound/tech guys were there yesterday because the sound hasn't been done properly. (Though you'd never have noticed)

There were only 12 of us viewing the film which made it completely intimate .. Shane then took us over the road for drinks and a chat about the film and listened avidly to our suggestions and put their ideas on how to go with the film to us and asked us what we thought.

We are now officially involved in the production of LE DONK and will be mentioned in the credits at the end.

As said before, I am a huge fan of Shane's films .. Dead Man's Shoes, This Is England, Room For Romeo Brass to name just 3 ... and this if the icing on the cake for me !!
