Today my stores were "audited" by our regional manager....and tomorrow I'm traveling to a town 50+ miles away to train a new hire. The regional manager is going to be meeting me there and from what I understand...she wants to talk to me.

I'm a bit nervous. I've already become an "area coordinator" after only working with the company since June 3rd. I've completed something like 91 projects in that time (each project is an individual job - some are short - others are longer). Right now I have a 100% completion rate for "on time" projects. (Every six months I get a bonus = to 1 average week's paycheck if I have a 100% rate).

Anyway - keep me in your prayers as I get to meet with my bosses' boss - I have no idea what will happen - if she simply wants to meet me and is auditing stores in this area or if there is a reason she wants to talk to me.

I do know though that I will let her and the new hire know that my current district manager is the BEST manager I've had under any company....because he is (and I've already told him that in the past).

But I'm a nervous wreck....

You will be in my thoughts and prayers tomorrow. Let us know how things went. It sounds like you're doing a great job, and you must be enjoying it. It's awesome that you want convey your praise to the upper management....you're a team player, and that's terrific. Good luck....I'll be thinking of you!

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow, Peg.

Meeting with the 'big bosses'is always daunting, but you sound as though you have everything in hand, and have good teamwork going on, so I'm sure it's just that they want to meet you.

Good luck!

I'm sorry I haven't updated this before - I've been so darn busy.

The meeting went really well - as it turns out - she was just in my area and wanted to meet me. I was training a new gal and she wanted to meet her too.

My Regional Manager ROCKS...big time. I can understand now why I have such an awesome District Manager - and it really does sound like they all work together as a team.

This is actually my favorite company to work for - even though they pay almost the least.

Anyway - I loved meeting my regional manager and I really enjoyed chatting with her and learning more about our district and the upcoming work, etc. (Our company just became the "preferred vendor" for Family Dollar stores).
