I have today off. I am going to use it to clean bunny cages....I think I'd rather be working... So I guess in a way - this thread is a way of helping me procrastinate till I get my first cup of coffee in me and get myself in gear to get stuff done..

Art & I were talking yesterday - supposedly we're through the hottest time of the year...so why was it 101 outside yesterday at 3 pm? Did no one tell Mother Nature its supposed to be getting COOLER now? (It had been in the 80s the last few days).

Oh - as many of you know...I work as a merchandiser/vendor for about 8 different companies. Some I do regular work for - some I do projects once or twice a month. I have two companies that are my "bread and butter". With both of those I can (within reason) schedule my own work - as long as it is done in a set period.

Well - with my favorite of the two companies - they gave me 54 hours of work from next Monday till about 2 weeks later...and they're not done scheduling for the month. Mind you - I wanted to work about 15 hours per week TOTAL....

So I called Martin, my boss, to ask about what happens if I hit 20 hours per week (I was thinking I'd get overtime..which he tries to avoid...and I was right). I explained that I was scheduled for 3 McCormick spice resets (5 hours per reset) on the same day. He was like, 'Why did you do that?" and I said, "I didn't...the company did...so I'm trying to juggle the resets so we don't wind up with me getting overtime..." I didn't tell him it was also so I wouldn't collapse. I still haven't quite figured out how I'm going to schedule everything - but I'm sure I'll figure it out.

In the meantime - one of the companies that I work with - I gave my notice to about 2 weeks ago. I hate their website - I can spend 30 minutes in the store - and then an hour fighting with the website to send the information. She is calling me and asking me to stay w/ the company...I've been avoiding her. I'm about to go enter my reports in a bit...all I can say is ... I hope she doesn't call me now 'cause I already know the answer will be a NO...

I think I have an "all or nothing" curse on me sometimes. Either the freezer is empty...or its full. Either the bank account is empty...or its full. Fortunately - the freezer is usually full when the bank account is empty....so I do ok there. But it extends into other parts of my life...either the house is really nice looking - or its horrible. Either I'm organized...or I'm not.

I'd settle right now for getting in between some of these extremes...know what I mean?

Anyway - I'll close this by saying I may be a bit absent for a bit (after this weekend). Something about 54 hours of work for one company....and wanting to pull my hair out at some websites from entering reports....and deciding to say "stuff it all" and go play with the Schleich...or the bunnies.....or in Bandita's case...play Schleich with the bunny.

Yeah...that sounds good.

Off to get my coffee so maybe I can clear the fog in my head since all the rambly updates/whatever didn't seem to do it.

(That's what I get for being up till 2 am....but I knew I had today off..)

Peg I can sympathize.

I work five 10 hour nights and one 8 hour night a week.

Until the city closed the pound I was working up to 30 hours a week there as well.

As odd as it may sound, I was organized because I had to schedule so much of my time. Now that the pound has closed down I'm a bit ragged because I don't know what to *do*.

My sleep for today is skewed - at 10:10am already I'm tired. As soon as I got off work I stopped by the store to get apoxy for my side mirror on the car. I worked on it some in the parking lot and then headed home.

The bunnies took me over an hour to feed/water/clean. I had to feed the cats and change litter boxes (2 boxes) and I did a good scrub on them.

Let the dogs out, fed them - called the vet to check on Levi, ran to the neighbors to check on her and her daughter because they've both been ill..

Got home, threw laundry in - ate, stopped in here. I've got to switch laundry over and then shower, get the newest pup settled in.

We're supposed to get some heavy storms later so once showered I have to go check on my Grandma (she has alzheimers) to make sure she brought her dog in, closed the gates and has her meal packages sorted correctly.

My goal was to get the laundry from dowstairs not only put away but sorted through so I can donate some, but it wont happen. I'll have to sleep...

Of course sleep wont come easy because though I sleep well in storms I also tend to awaken a lot in anticipation of the power going off and sleeping through the alarm. And oh! I'm *almost* done with two of the books I'm reading now so by the time I lay down I'm sure I'll crack open a book and read too long, sleep too little.

Plus I'm anticipating another potential Chicago Ridge pull (I need to call BlueFrog in a bit) so I really need to disenfect and clean.

I honestly dont have a lot of physical stuff to do but mentally I'm a bit drained (especially after losing Ibimi this week) and it seems to show in the lack of posting I've done recently and may do over the next few days while I settle myself into some type of normailcy due to the changes happening here.

Ok - call me sucker...I agreed to stay on for another month. Part of it is - my reports went easier today and she told me the best times to enter them so I don't have fits with the website. (It appears as though for some strange reason 5,000 - 7,000 people entering their reports at the last minute can make the website act up...imagine that!).

She also offered to enter my reports for me if that is what it takes to keep me...

LOL! Peg, you're so funny!

Leaf, you seem a bit busy!

Right now, I'm doing ok. Now, that's not to say that I have everything done, organized or whatever - but I don't care as much as I do at other times LOL!

My biggest complaint is that we have had horribly hot and humid weather - I don't do hot and humid well.

We also seem to have a bug problem at the barn...... chiggers? we don't know but we're all getting bites if we don't use our OFF - and I have forgotten it a couple of times....... I don't do itchy very well.......

We are just extremely busy again - I thought it would ease up a bit after school started! but no - we have horse shows, projects, and college visits for Luke..... applications for schools and I am looking for scholarships for him to apply for.

Diesel's a brat....... I get something done and he tears it up!

Thank Goodness I have BO to make me not care about anything :biggrin2:

Sometimes I feel like like posting a thread titled, "Procrastinators of the world....unite and avoid those hard things together." Yeah - procrastination is a major character flaw of mine....

On dvd, an episode of Babylon 5 is 43-45 minutes because there are no commercials. I share this for a reason....

For the last 10 days or so - my filing has been piling up. Its made my life miserable....at one point I had the papers criss-crossed by company on my desk to make the filing easier. That was before Audrey decided to jump on my lap and onto the desk to see if she could find treats. They scattered onto the floor and my sanity was somehow lost in the sea of paperwork...probably 3-4" tall.

I say all this to say that it took me less than the 45 minute episode of Babylon 5 to get all the paperwork safely filed where bunnies could not get to it. Yeah...it was that easy....once I had something "fun" to distract me.

I think my new slogan is gonna be ....."Procrastinators of the world...get off your arse and get it done NOW.."

"Procrastinators of the world...get off your arse and get it done NOW.."

I probably need to see that quote everyday, Like now I should be cleaning the kitchen and doing laundry. Where am I? Replying to a post. Uggh it just seems there isn't enough time anymore.

I'm SOOOOO PROUD of myself.....I have to share.

Here is what I got done (along with the filing) today..

Look at all the free space....isn't that great?

I think some of my Schleich animals are in total shock....

I have set aside a space for putting stuff that I need to file...by category.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this - I wanted to have it on my desk - Art gave it to me one Christmas. There are a few other statues/figurines by this company that I've been debating getting - but this one is my hands down favorite. (I have their nativity set and love it).

See the EMPTY space again?

I'm so happy with what I got done - I just had to brag a bit....

Peg, one of the things I do is get movies to watch while I fold laundry, and do paperwork. I used to play cd's when I cleaned and I got to where I didn't find music that gave me that push!

I just got a new cd (KIDROCK) that has a great song I love on it....... I think I'm going to compile a playlist for cleaning.... have it on the computer for this part of the house and burn it to cd for the kitchen........ I might need a few for the kitchen.....

Did anyone watch the season opener of Ghost Hunters? I intended to fold laundry while I watched..... that didn't happen......

how's that for rambling?

Your desk looks amazing, Peg :biggrin2:! See, you can do it....just have to take a deep breath, mumble a bit, then get up and get crackin'...that is what I do. I love to clean, BUT....I don't love trying to get up off my tushy to do it :p!
