I'm Ari. I have 3 buns. One's a middle-aged Polish mix with blue eyes. She's black and white and has a bit of an attitude problem, but we're working on that. That's Luna. She's really my boyfriend's bun, but I play with her an awful lot so I guess she's 'our' bun. ^^ She was our first. A Craig's List rescue. One's a Flemish Giant/Rex mix (we think) and possibly has a bit of Hare in her. That's Jasper. She's my baby girl. <3 We only know the mother. So it's hard to tell. She's about 5-6 months old and a gorgeous agouti brown. I also have a male Jersey Woolly named Nymh. He's a brown agouti, too.
I finally decided it was time I joined a bun forum. Well, I decided it a while ago and just never did. :p
Friend of mine has rabbits, too. She has a fair assortment, plus my Jasper's mother. All of my buns are indoor, never outdoor. Because I don't trust the idiots in our area. They get plenty of free-range time, though, and at the moment, have an entire room to themselves. They never get to meet each other out of the cage, though. Usually, at least one is behind bars. I don't trust some of my buns tempers with others, namely Luna. Jasper, however, I'm looking for a cagemate for.
Hope to have some pics of them up soon. :)

I look forward to seeing picture of your bunny's, your Flemish Giant mix sounds intriguing.

If you everhave a sick bunny, please post in The Infirmary and include your rabbit's age, breed and health history as well diet and output details leading up to the problem.

I have listed some links I thought you might find interesting:

*For reference the Library section

*To brag or tell everyone about the antics of your bunny or just to talk about your day here is where to start a Bunny Blog, you can also look back at it later and remember when you had a life before your bunny.

*Now all the bunny’s like talk to each other when we mere slaves aren’t around in the Bunny Chat is the spot to be.

*Rabbits Online also has regional forums , this a good way to find a vet in your area that has experience with rabbits and to find out from other nearby of good sources of rabbit supplies.

The Let Your Hare Down section is for anything non-bunny related.

Here is a link tothat will help you and your bunny to connect, How To Bond With Your Bunny.

Now every forum has rules and ours can be found with this link Rabbits Online Forum Rules. This gives guidelines on what is acceptable, what is not and how we hope everyone will treat each other.

Everyone on this forum loves to see pictures of each other’s bunnies. So if you would like to post a picture this link will help you do that, Upload Photo's to Photo Gallery. Then in the post, you click on the "G" in the tool bar to insert your photo.

I am glad you have joined rabbits online and I look forward to seeing you around.

First buns first. :)
First bun was Luna. 4 year old female Polish mix. She was named because of the star pattern on her side right side.
She has blue eyes. And a bit of an attitude problem we're working on.
The pics of Luna were all taken before we moved. I have no recent ones of her unfortunately. :p

Next, we got baby bunny Jasper. :)
5 month-ish old Flemish Giant / Rex mix. (I believe she may have wild bun in her... But that's just me. >.> We only knew the mother.)
She's my most behaved bun. Quiet, not a chewer, litter trained 1 week after coming home, nuzzler, cuddler, and not a nibbler unless she's not the center of attention. xD Rarely gets in trouble.

Last but not least in Nymh. Full name is Nymulous Beatrice. Don't even ask. :p
He's my Jersey Wooley, unsure of age, though I can probably find out from his previous owner. He's a nibbler, but tolerates almost anything. You can hold him on his back for nail clipping and cutting mats and such, and he'll sit still, but try to nibble you. If he can't, he just sulks. Which, by the way, is extremely cute. ^_^
He's a bit of a trouble maker, and we're working on his litter training. In cage, he's fine... Out of cage... Not so much. :p

i LOVE you jersey woolie hes adorable!!!

and does your flemish mix have any rex fur at all?

She does, kind of... Her sister certainly came out more Rex... Her sister, we named "wrinkly" at first... Because she had the starting of the rex fur when she was born. Grew up to look like a gray cotton ball. =D
Jasper has some diluted rex-like fur on her tummy, but that's about grown out of her. She may grow out of it altogether. It seems, the older she gets, the more is disappears. :p

Your bunnies are so sweet!

How much does your Flemish/Rex weigh? She looks big!

Rex fur is a recessive trait, so unless both parents have the Rex gene, the offspring will have regular fur.

Thanks interesting. Because there were 5 kids, and one's keeping their rex fur, by the looks of it. Could it be a fluke? Or does that mean the father was quite possibly a rex?

If only one of the babies keeps the Rex fur, then that means both the mother and father have the Rex gene (meaning they're part Rex rabbit), even if neither of them have Rex fur. If all the babies had Rex fur, then the parents would have tobe purebred Rex rabbits.

Kinda like how brown-eyed parents sometimes have blue-eyed kids, but blue-eyed parents can only have blue-eyed kids. Same basic genetic rule.

Hope that helps!

Rue

I guess that might make sense. That solves a major question- NO wild bun in Jasper. Because if both parents had rex... I don't think we're gunna find a wild cottontail with rex in them, ya know? xD
Thanks a lot for the info. ;)
