Friends, I'm supposed to be working, but I'm justso upset that I had to share this and get it off of my chest.I'm shaking like a leaf right now.

Sherman has just been acting out for the last two days. Idon't know what's going on. He's going from extremes--angelbunny to most disobedient bunny in the world. Today I've beenletting him out in increments because I'm trying to work and hekeeps getting into things that he shouldn't ON PURPOSE.

This last time that I let him out I was going to let him out for 20minutes. I opened the door to his cage and he went over toone of his favorite corners to lay down. I turned around andstarted working again.

All of a sudden I heard this noise. I'm thinking he's intosomething again and chewing. I kept looking around but Icouldn't find him. Then it dawned on me that the noise wasscratching and it was getting more and more frantic.

Let me tell you this. We have a huge cherry oakentertainment center down here. When we moved it took fourgrown men with one of those, I can't think of the word, you know thething that they load furniture on with wheels, to move it ... and theywere STRAINING.

I have both ends of this thing closed off so that he can't get backthere. Well, this FOOL bunny breached one of the perimetersthat I had set up and had got behind the center and was STUCK ... notjust STUCK so he couldn't get out ... STUCK as in WEDGED tight and allhe could do was kick his back feet back and forth. His bodywas TOTALLY COMPRESSED.

I looked back there and his eyes were bulging and he was having troublebreathing. I'm screaming and don't know what to do.My husband isn't here because he's on a job assignment. There's nobody to help me. I'm trying and trying to move thisthing, but I can't budge it!!!!

He stops kicking and his eyes close and I can't tell he'sbreathing. I stick a tube back to poke him to get him to keeptrying and he doesn't move!!! I'm trying to call my husbandon the phone so he can tell me SOMETHING to do, but naturally he can'thelp! He's over two hours away!!!

I throw down the phone and start throwing stuff off of the center andI'm PRAYING with all that I've got in me! I'm pulling andpushing, but the thing won't move!!! I start praying harderand I'm crying by now because he truly isn't moving at all and his eyesaren't opening! I keep screaming, "Sherman!Sherman!" to try to get him to revive so he can at least keep fightingand try to help himself out while I try to pull this thing.

Finally I feel this surge of energy and I'm able to move it about ahalf of an inch and I'm reaching for him and screaming. Herevived and had just enough of a fraction of a space to back out frombehind there.

I don't know whether to be FURIOUS, happy, or relieved. It'sbeen one drama after another with this bunny. Have you everhad somebody do something foolish and you were ANGRY with them andrelieved at the same time? My adrenalin is still pumping, myback is killing me, my heart is still pounding ...

I put this hardheaded bunny into his cage and this is where he's GOING TO STAY for at least a couple of days.

Sorry, guys. You know how youjust have to tellsomething to get it out of you when something stressfulhappens.

JUST ONE DRAMA AFTER ANOTHER ... :X

Oh My God, BunnyMommy!

I was panicking along with you just reading that post. Thankthe Good Lord He gave you strength to move that piece offurniture.

Sherman needs to be put in his cage, I agree. You don't needthis right now. You've got too much going on in your life toworry about him tonight. He'll be fine in his cage.

Don't know what his problem is lately, but it's time to put yourselffirst. You just can't be going through this right now.

You poor angel.

oh im so glad hes ok!

carolyn is right, the story was stressful to even read! that happenswith children i hear. the adrenaline rush and extra strength comes tosomeone when a loved person is in danger. of course your angry andrelieved at the same time.

i hope you can calm down soon, that must have been so traumatic. i wish we are all there to give you great big hugs and comfort!

i hope your day (and week and month) goes much much better from here out!!!

All I can do is give you mental hugs, because itsounds like you sure need it. Thank goodness he's ok. I don't even wantto think of that alternative.

I agree with Carolyn, some cage time is needed for you to focus on what you need to.

OMG I would have freaked out. Thank god you gotthe strengh to move that cabinet. If I coulnd't lift the tree I wouldhave probly called 911.

I too was anxiouswhile reading your story, but I must admit...I did laugh out loud whenI read that you poked him...Sometimes in moments of panic ourexplanations sound a bit humorous. Maybe he's sensing your emotionsover the last few days and doesn't know how to deal with it.It may have been his way of "hiding" from it all. Whoknows. He is definitely a bad bunny! :X He needsbells on his toes or something!

Oh BunnyMommy, you poor thing. It's just onething after another with His Lordship at the minute. I think you did sowell to rescue him - God Bless You. What would we do without tales ofShermans' antics???? Take care, and let Sherman chill for a while -maybe the scare he got will make him think twice next time.

You, my Dear, deserve a stiff drink! That is a harrowing situation to have gone through. Thankgoodness you were there and had the presence of mind and the strengthto do what you had to do in an emergency. I would want you onmy side during dangerous times.

Ya did good!

Hi! BunnyMommy

Your Sherman is one bad bunny.I wonder if he senses yourhardtime right now and maybe that's his wayof him being a stressed out bunny.

Wow! That was ahorror story:shock:! I'm so glad that you got him out, how freaky!

You should consider getting an exercise pen and setting it up in thehouse. That way he is still "out" but not "about." If you know what Imean;)! I also find that baby gates help to keep them confined.

OMG!! That was a terrifing story just to read andyou actually has to go through it. You poor girl, it sounds as if youneed some"me time" to relax and get rid of all this stress. Ijust thank God you were able to get Sherman out ok and all is well. Hedefinately could use a time-out.

You all are just the best. Thank youfor all of your encouraging words. Truly, this was astressful incident. I appreciate you letting me get it off mychest.

Well, all, I'm back!!! :DThanks again for all of your sentiments! Your concern reallyhelped to ground me.

Now to inject the "other" side of the story ... ;). I indeedstrained my neck and back trying to free His Majesty from his direplight ...

He expressed his thanks in aprofuse outpouring of"bunnitude"...

When he backed out from behind the center thatday he wasvery weak but was gracious enough to summon up just enoughstrengthto ROLL HIS EYES at me before he floppeddown! Ungrateful stinker! I guessall ofthis was MY FAULT! :X

It's clear to me that everything is back to normal.LOL! :) Oh, the joys of bunnyservitude.
