I brought home a male altered 8month old holland lop yesteday. He used his corner litter box (the kind with wire for them to sit on vs them sitting in the litter itself. But this morning I've noticed a few things he is much more comfortable in our home, he's a very friendly little guy and active...doesn't sit still long and love's attention but he went from pooing in the corner box (always pees in though) to pooing everywhere he goes within his xpen cage...why is this. Maybe he's comfortable now and marking his territory...but he doesn't spray or wipe his chin or mount so maybe not.

Maybe I should also use a non-wire corner tray and buy a couple cat litter tray boxes that he can hop in and out of and enjoy his hay.

What do you think.

At this stage, I would say that he's marking his territory. In the wild, rabbit's leave poop piles as a way to mark their territory, so he's probably just doing that. I think spraying tends to happen more if there are other rabbits around. If after a week or two it hasn't improved, you might need to try changing the litter box like you suggested, or just restricting the amount of space he has until he gets used to using the box consistently. But without a doubt, for now I'd say it's territorial. :)

I forgot to add he's gone from a smaller cage 4x2 with 2 levels to 4x8 one level. He doesn't seem to be eating his timothy hay. I never see him drinking his water or eating his hay...he really runs around now that he's comfortable to so much more....he doesn't stop for too long and I don't see him hop in his litterbox much he sat there for a while when he first came home and would always hop back into there after investigating but today he's looking over everything in his xpen. I have a tunnel and a wicker basket he through throw the tunnel (loves it) and hops in the wicker basket/sleeps there doesn't really nibble on it.

Also his name is Ralphie.

Sounds like he's exploring and just checking everything out :) If you want to encourage him to eat hay you could try hand feeding him some strands. He probably is eating it, just not when you're looking :p
