Just a few questions....

Shadow is almost 10 weeks. He spends quite alot of time in his cage during the day. I spend 90% of my time down here while he is upstairs. I am waiting to bring him down stairs when he gets bigger in size bc I have a one yr old going on 2 cat who plays very aggresive and has already tried to play with shadow. She tries to grab him by the neck and I know her very well that it will turn bad. So down stairs having free roam is not a good idea. But when I go upstairs when my mom gets home he gets 6hrs of free roam up there, where the door is closed and Xena my cat is not allowed in lol. But I read alot on here how their bunnies follow them around the house, and I see photos of their bunnies cuddled up on thier backs in their parents arms. I was wondering even tho he spends alot of time upstairs, and only gets 6hrs with me will he still grow up to wanna follow me? And He is only 10wks but not cuddly will this change to? He does sleep on me but he would rather stretch out on my lap and not up by me more. Will that change to? And im afraid of putting my hands near his mouth bc I dont wanna get bitten, but everyone even my mom says they give kisses, and when he gets near my face I back my face away from him, should I not worry about him bitting me?? He already did once but was bc I was holding him inside his cage one nite while putting his food dish inside and he wanted to come out and play but it was bed time for me lol, and my hand was in his way. But that was the only time. Anyway sorry if these are dumb questions, or dont make sence. Im off to go find away to let him downstairs and be away from the cats at the same time. I have those cubes that ppl use for cages, they are left over from my guinea pigs. Im gonna try and use those to make a pen, only problem is I only have enough to make it one panel high and I know he will jump out lol. Anyway im off to try it anyway. And thnx for any addvice you can give.

Wow Shadows_Girl, I guess nobody saw thispost before now! :shock: Sorry!

My boy bunny didn't like being cuddled at first, but I spent a lot of time on the floor with him and I give him a tiny bit of apple whenever I pick him up (while I was sittingon the floor) and he's getting cuddly now.Its good to handle them (gently) so they getused to you.

And don't be afraid of getting too close. Bunnies usually only bite when they're being territorial, like when you had your hand in his cage, or when something's in their way, so that fits. Both my bunnies like licking my hand and my nose more than anything else. I put my face down within reach ofmy bunny Pipp, and she comes racing over as fast as she can to give me bunny kisses.:bunnyheart

Wow thanx for the reply I was starting to think no one would reply! Well he does sleep on me sometimes but he sleep kinda far down on my lap and what not. I sit in my chair in my room and jumps up when he wants to. I guess were getting there, I was more or less impatient when I wrote the post lol. But he is getting there. And thnx for the tip about the biting I will try not to back away frim him I think it might take awhile bc I think I do it bc its my natural reaction. Hopefully it will stop lol.
