Oh, those pictures are great! And to think, instead of cooing over the bunnies myself, I was sitting at home studying for midterms. :disgust:

And now I've spent the last week with an eye infection caused by my allergies. This month has had a great start.:foreheadsmack:

Woohoo, my mom has come to stay for 3 weeks:)

Glad your mom cancome andvisit you Jan. She can see that we don't live in frozen barren lands with houses made of snow. :D
Hopes she has a good visit.

My son is expected to cross back from the US border on Monday with his new car. He flew down to LA last week to buy the car, and is driving it backright now. Got to clean out the garage, so he has a place to park.

Pebbles is getting a recheck with Dr. Steele on Tuesday. She is very well now, even though she gives me evil look because I have cut back on all the alfalfa foods she got when she was sick. :p Oh, no more poopy butts (keeps fingers crossed).

Next weekend I will spend a day at Capital EX. (That is our annual fair).

Well, my mom had 3 good days here, but early Sunday morning, she fell all the way down our stairs. We ended up in emergency at one hospital yesterday for 7 hours, and found out she broke her leg. She's 84 years old, so I suppose things could have been a lot worse.

We had to go to another hospital at 8pm last night and were there until 1.30 am this morning getting her admitted. Hopefully they will operate today.

So her 3 week visit is going to be a lot longer, as she will probably be in a cast, and have to have physio. I have to cancel all her flights, our trip to Banff, get the Insurance sorted, phone family at home, arrange for wheelchair, walker etc for our home here. Doesn't look like we will be doing much on her visit here :(.

I am going to put a post in the main forum, but thought I'd let you know what's happening and why my time on here will be in bits and pieces.

Sigh ... I get the feeling 'someone up there' doesn't like me very much at the moment :(

Jan

Oh no Jan... :cry2

Your poor mother. I hope the operation goes well. Pray she isn't in too much pain, rest comfortably and have extra pain killers while she heals. How long is she staying in the hospital? Do you need transportation inour mini van?

Stan

Oh no, Jan!

I'm so sorry about you mom's fall.

Sending prayers and good thoughts your way....hoping that everything works out for the best!

My son is back from the US. He bought his new car from a person in LA who is moving away to Europe.

That is his other car in the background, a right hand drive, that he imported from Japan a few years ago. Oh to be twenty again. :foreheadsmack:

I'm pleased you took Sunday off, Stan - you deserve a break!

Those pics are wonderful - in the UK they have the 'Red Arrows' that do flying displays like that. They are very impressive.

We didn't get to see Capital Ex, but there is always next year ...

Jan

BTW - Your son has a very nice set of wheels there :)

You deserve a break! With all the things youare goingthrough, I hope things will settle.
When I take a day off, I end up being more tired .:p The last time I took a Sunday off (last month), I was working on our roof. ;)

I plan to take this Sunday off for August, but then there is the rabbit show and Heritage Days this long weekend. :( After that, there is another Banguet (Aug 6), a wedding (Aug 9), and my sister from Toronto is planning to be here (Aug 11). :panic:
