We went to PetSmart to the adoption event to meet Ju's former foster mommy, so we could see Blade (Ju's old kitty friend). Well, we met Blade and both Ryan and I didn't get the vibe from him. I felt terribly bad because Pat (Ju's former foster mommy) wanted Blade to go to a great home and she was only bringing him there for us to see and possibly adopt (and no one else).
She completely understood and told us to take a look at the baby kittens. My gosh, there was TONS of kittens there today...like 20 to chose from. Well, Ryan and I really didn't want a kitten, but decided to look anyways...as they need homes too and will grow into adult kitties as well.
Well, we walked up to a cage of black/grey tiger striped Persian mix kitties. A tiny little guy (probably the runt) was in there. This cage of around 5 litter mates totally caught my eye, they were so active and playful...and just begged for a home.
I held the little runt and he purred right into me and I got a huge vibe then...not just because he was a "cute little baby kitten"...but it just felt "right".
"Baby Kitten" (as we have been calling him) got his third shot and Pat held him while we shopped for his food. I signed the adoption papers and Pat gave us a HUGE discount on the adoption fee because she knew he was going to such a great home...to be friends with JuJu (which Pat adored and had for 1 1/2 years).
When we got back from cashing out to pick up our little kitten, all of his brothers/sisters had been adopted! They went so quick. What a relief for Pat, as well, as they were her foster babies and she has so many more at her house.
I suppose you all want pictures ?
He will be a medium hair length and will be black with very faint silver tiger stripes. He is 14 weeks old, too. I think Pat said his birthday was on March 22.
HE NEEDS A NAME!! I was thinking something "Persian" or a very "odd" name. I like odd names....mainly people names for pets. I was thinking "Jude"...but I am not sure if I want both him and Jupe to have "Juuuuu" names.
