I've been thinking over the past while, once i'm back from the camping trailor for the summer I think I shall get myself a job. I'll be 15 by then. Obviously it would have to be part-time because of school.

Anyone else around my age-group that have jobs, or are looking for one ?

I have absolutely no clue where to even start. I mean, I don't want to be working at a Mcdonalds but I can't find any other place hiring people at 15 years old.

I'm 16, I was hoping to get myself a Summer job so I'd have some money for the Summer but there wasn't a hope, it's so hard to get a job these days :(

[align=center]Unless you are willing to put with some crazy horrible people and getting splattered with grease all the time, I wouldn't suggest McDonalds.

Minimum wage is not worth what you have to put up with. Well, not here anyway. But I was working at one in a super ghetto area, so that may have had something to do with it.

I've been applying everywhere I can and none are calling me back. It's getting a bit rediculous. Since I need money for a car + insurance and I will be paying most of my tuition next year.. I need a job!

Most places are done their summer hiring now, so I probably started too late. I'd even take a minimum wage job for something. Though I can't work with food because of sevre allergies, so it cuts out atleast half of student jobs out there.

Boo :(.

Ohh - and try checking here.. that's where I've been doing most of my searching because it has a seperate category for student/youth jobs..

Just try everywhere, and I mean everywhere. Don't be like 'eww, I don't want to work there' because usually a part time job when you are a teenager is not going to be a fantastic career, its usually the people you work with who make it bearable.

You may want to consider signing up with a temp agency.
When I first moved to Florida I worked temp jobs through Kelly until I got a permanent job. It was only $8/hr., but some money was better than none. They kept me working as many hours as I wanted to.

ive found that no matter age or work history jobs out there are very scarce. i got one-not even stable realy-after 4 months of job hunting. try careerbuilder or something like that, a nannying job or petsitting job would work perfect for you. no stable hours or pay, but right now not a lot of other jobs you could do
