Just got out of my boyfriends basement. The water is only up to my ****s now. We got some of his clothes out and managed not to get bit by anything too terrifying... I think. I still haven't been back to my house because they had to let water out of the dams causing MORE flooding and I don't know if we can even get on that side of town. We're all safe now though, just waiting for the waters to recede.

I'll post pictures once things get settled down. Thank you for the concern. :grouphug

Hey everyone. I have the photo bucket link to all of the pics of the house with some video if anyone is interested. I don't think we managed to catch Jess in any of them, but she was surely there helping me through a tough time.

We didn't manage to get any pics of the water at it's highest in the basement, but that's because it was only about 6 inches from the ceiling, so it was pretty impossible to do. You can see the water line in one of the vids however.

I wish this whole stupid city would burn to the ground right about now. I swear, people move here and just catch the stupid because it's so prevalent. :grumpy:

WORD OF ADVICE: DO NOT MOVE HERE. OR ANYWHERE NEAR IT. Just stay far away from Tennessee. SMH.

DON'T DO IT. You will regret it for the rest of your life. We have more crime, ignorance, racism and just all around stupidity of any state. And you hear about Southern hospitality? Oh hell no. It's more like, Southern-stab-you-in-the-back-as-soon-as-you-turn-around-condescending-hospitality. People here are so shove-it-down-your-throat religious and intolerant of anyone even slightly different.

The people here are also using this flood as an excuse to amp up the racism and talk about how the Gulf Coast is so inferior because of the things that happened after Katrina. It's disgusting. Stay classy, Tennessee.
