All I can say is...OMGosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

http://www.petland.com/FindPetlandStores/Illinois/Bolingbrook/PuppyParty.htm

I don't know something with this just seems way wrong to me. Maybe I'm reading too much into this...but it just kinda scares me...especially when they talk about the pet counselor and that it is meant for kids under 12y/o. She said while they didn't specifically push for you to buy pets it was hinted at. And let's face it you get a kid into a pet store and they want :(

Petland is an animal mill supporter. :X Not surprising. They are running out of ways to get people to come into their store and buy their 'stock' with all the recent coverage and bad press.

ew, it disgusts me the levels those stores will sink to so they can sell their "stock" as you put it Erika, getting to customers thorugh their kids... then again its the not so smart parents booking those parties to begin with, ugh

Petland is horrible..

(I don't buy anything from them, but sometimes I go in, to see how the bunnies are doing in Westland, Michigan.)

There's a lady that works there, and she used to have a rabbit (a flemish giant!).

She cares for the rabbits properly, and makes sure they always have hay (most people in Petland don't, clearly, and I know she does, because there is always hay- timothy- in the cages, and I come unexpected) and she makes sure every single person buying a bunny goes homeeducated, and with hay.

I am glad she works there, to make sure those bunnies will have proper care..

I thought I read it wrong when she told me...so I went back and re-read it and sure enough yep. I don't like petstores...I do have to have a bit of loyalty towards Petsmart as if it wasn't for them my husband's work wouldn't have a contract and he wouldn't havea job (he's a truck driver and delivers for them). I do know they do ALOT for adopting out animals....other than that I don't know much about their policies for other stuff and as we don't have an actual petsmart store nearby I don't shop there.
