I'm not to sure whether it should be in this forum, or another.

Anyone else feel like they write a huge reply in a thread and go to click 'post' then see their actual post and wonder where it all went?.

Like, it feels like you write SOOO much but when it's posted, it doesn't look like much at all.

Lol U know what I hate most? WRiting a HUGE reply to a thread, and something happening, and it never appearing, so the 'rewrite' you post is shorter, less detailed and never as good lol!

It's like NOOOO!!!!

This always happens when I write out something long.
So I just give up
(or write it on notepad first)

Lol I always copy it before I post it, so I can just paste, if I need to.

When I remember lol!

Yes! I think it is because I use quick reply and that box is so much smaller then the page when it actually posts. So in the quick reply post it looks like I wrote a book and then when it posts it is like 2 sentences.

Exactly, and people who actually do write lots, are like my heros lol XD

I have given up writing meaningful replies on my iPhone. I lurk the forum all the time on my phone but my awful AT&T service craps out and drops my reply request all the time. Then when I click refresh or back, I lose the whole post. Any idea how much effort it takes to type even a medium-length reply on the lousy touchpad? :p

On this forum if you use Firefox and not Explorer (which is too slow anyway), you can hit the back arrow and usually find your reply again. :)

I think it works on CHrome, too, but the (useless) software company hasn't configured the forum for Chrome, so a lot of stuff (link formatting and certain link functions) don't work at all, so not really worth it.

But try Firefox. :)

I just lost a huge post in my blog that I was composing to the old "back" button screw up in IE. I got so mad that I downloaded Firefox. Grr.
Thanks for sharing this good tip, sas!

Chrome is by far my favorite, but the :censored2: who own the forum software we use haven't configured it for Chrome, so you'll find a lot of formatting and other things lacking.

:p
