I have written an article and I was wondering if you would check it to make sure it is okay.
Thanks :)

Hay and Grass are very good for your rabbits teeth, and Hay also helps their dijestive system. Without Hay and the right amount of Pellets your rabbit could develop GI Stasis which is the slowing down of a rabbits gut. It is very serious.
So your rabbit should have unlimited Hay.
Never buy mixed food, especially the sort with bright colours in. You should get Pellets or Nuggets for you rabbit becuase then it will stop your bun eating what he wants and sometimes leaving little bits of food that he needs.

A rabbit should have veggies regularly, If a rabbit is quite young he or she should not eat lots of veggies, unless they are used to it. You should introduce each new fruit or veg slowly so not to upset your rabbits tummy.

If you decide to change your rabbits food don't do it suddenly slowy introduce it to your rabbit and monitor his or her poops and the way he or she walks. If your rabbits poops decrease in size rapidly you should make sure they get a lot of fluids and hay. If you are really worried get him to the vet ASAP.

In the first line say hay and grass hays instead of grass..
In the line that reads " You should get Pellet or Nuggets for your rabbit..etc etc reread that sentence to your self and tell me what you mean??
Otherwise everything is correct except for a few spelling errors.

very good Becca :)

I put that becuase if you give them mixed food they pick what they want out of it and leave stuff that could be good for them.
Is there a better way to say that :?

I know what type of pellets you mean, the all in ones that prevent selective eating. What are they called? Complete pellets or something? Have a look how they discribe it on the pack

Yeah thats what I meant!!

Hows this:

"You should get PLAIN pellets or nuggets for you rabbit etc etc."

Very Good Becca :)Are you doing this for school?

Ahh! Okay thanks!

No it's not for school I'm just writing rabbit articles to give out to people and if Fluffball's pregnant I was thinking I could make a sort of booklet!

Not all rabbits NEED veggies regularly. My rabbits are on Oxbow BBT (a very quality pellet) and I do not feed veggies regularly. My bunnies only get carrots, lettuce, or fruits on occasion, and they do very well with this. I always found giving veggies (yes, I did give variety) resulted in a huge waste because they wouldn't eat them.

I would still educate people on giving rabbits fruits and veggies with the emphasis that hay is necessary and veggies are preferable but not absolutely necessary.
I think that if we did a poll on this forum that most members give some veggies to their rabbits ( probably not the rabbitry).
Since I am at the shelter I have provided those rabbits with some greens for years and never had one turn down parsley . We are talking about 100's of rabbits.

Even if a bun isgiven small amounts regularly I believe that it is a good practice.

When a bun is recovering from surgery or illness that is usually the first thing that they will eat.

if a bun is dehydrated it is a good way to replenish fluids
most buns like greens
a problem will arise if the bun is given so many that they don't eat hay or get digestive upsets
Veggies are not essential but preferable ; hay is ssential.
