Hey guys, as most of you know, my boys are netherland dwarfs, and are about 5 months old. The past couple of days, Sweetie, the small black one, has been thumping at me when I come into the room, and has been really standoffish towards me. Tonight, I just cleaned their cage and gave them fresh pellets and water and veggies and the whole time Sweetie was lunging at me and boxing at the kitty-litter scoop I use to clean up their stray hay and poops and he makes these weird growly sounds, they almost sound like the sound cats make when they fight, but not nearly that loud. And! He bit me! He's never bitten me, or anyone, and it scared me more than anything. It didn't draw blood or even leave a mark for more than 5 minutes.
Is this puberty? :? I am assuming it is, although his brother Speedy has none of these behaviors. They are both scheduled to be neutered on Friday morning, coincidentally. Thoughts? Thanks guys for always reading my mile long posts and responding! :D
