So before all this mobility ban happened, i was at a pet shop browsing through rabbit pellet packages and i thought that i had found one that didn't have anything it wasn't supposed to have. So i have come to ask for others' opinions. The pic has the back of the packet, listing ingredients.20200306_115841.jpg

I think the packet reads 15.5% crude fibre? Anyway, i was just wondering. Thanks for the opinion though!

They are alfalfa based (lucerne). Protein is 15,5% which is too high for an adult (13% would be right), I can't see how much fibre 19% is suggested minimum, this feed also has many additional components I wouldn't honestly want to use it, I think it is more for rabbits raised for commercial breeding, they live short life and need to gain more weight as for what they are raised for. If I had no other option because of the situation and it is not clear how long it will be with us, I would probably feed just hay and vegetables/greens you can grow yourself, if you decided still feed this I would give very small amount daily as protein is high and your rabbit can get fat quickly, also too high calcium 1.2% which can cause bladder sludge, lots of grain and unnecessary components listed. I didn't check vitamins yet but I have a feeling there can be too generous amount as well.

Also daily portion stated 200 gram for 5kg rabbit. That is he'll get lots of protein and calcium and vitamins and as you say fibre only 15%.

I wouldn't suggest for your pet rabbit tbh. Feed him unlimited hay and limited greens/vegs and he'll be fine.

No, rest assured, he's not getting that. Sadly i have no idea whether his current ones are better or worse as they came in a hell-a-heck big bag with no label except "krolik", rabbit in russian.
He gets unlimited hay and a variable amount of those big bag pellets sice we're having issues stopping mum from giving him too much of EVERYTHING just because he cranes his neck at her. I've been woken up by crunchy sounds every morning only to take away that big piece of dried white bread that mum is giving. Same goes with pure oats and the aforementioned pellets.
He doesn't get much veg since dad rarely buys lettuce and we don't have any of the other stuff like romaine. My potted basil isn't growing so nicely either.
Is it okay to give him cucumber bites as treats? Mum's been doing that too.

Cucumber won't hurt.
I thought you live in the countryside and could plant some herbs for him at least, sure everybody can learn a bit of gardening. Basil loves sun and dry weather, it is mediterranian herb so maybe your climate just not very suitable, but there's plenty of other herbs, mint will grow nicely, thyme, maybe you can plant celery from scraps it grows pretty well just remove all stems except of a few tiny in the very heart and put into soil it will root and will grow new stems in no time. There are more greens/vegs that are very easy to grow just from scraps, and you can use rabbit poo as fertiliser too :)

We have pretty nasty weather, to be
honest. It is certainly not dry and it is full of winds. We have almost no big sunlight and when it is, it is sometimes so much that it withers smaller crops when we don't give them extra water. Stuff is hard to grow here.
Yeah we do live in a small parish now but we have no land here. If you assumed we live in the countryside bc of the profile pic, you're not mistaken either. We go there for summer (which we haven't done yet for some reason) but the land is really crappy there- nothing except potatoes or sickness-proof dill will grow. We tried radishes, carrots and mint the other year but they got almost destroyed by some mole-like creature that likes to consume anything we try to plant.

I actually love gardening and would've loved to go study it in a vocational school further to the southern parts of Estonia but mum wouldn't let me leave anywhere i wanted, so i'm stuck here.

I was thinking that we try again this year, so i had some more dill, basil, beijing cabbage seeds bought early on.
