My daughter has been in 4H for 3 years and over the summer for a project we let her breed her Polish doe. Since the babies are 8 weeks, we started looking for homes for them. We took them out to take pictures for potential new owners and everything was fine but when we went to take pictures a few minutes later my wife noticed that one of them had a red bulge on its left eye. After a few minutes free of interaction the bulge became less pronounced but still noticeable. I've been looking up "prolapse of the Harderian gland" but all the pictures I've seen the bulge is more white / pink than blood red. My daughter says the bunny is eat, drinking and playing normally. Any insight would be helpful thank you.
1st pic is the bulged eye
2nd pic is the normal eye
3rd pic is bulged after a few minutes free of interaction

It isn't uncommon to see a rabbit's 3rd eyelid, but I'm not used to it being that red. When you look at the rabbit head on, do either of the eyes themselves appear to bulge (the actual globe), or is the bulge you're referring to just the gland?
