My boyfriend was at the store this evening and decided to get Rory and Skyler a toy! He wanted to get them baby keys, but couldn't find any, so he got two of these instead:

It looks like a great toy for them to toss around, but several of the rings have a thin layer of textured rubber in places. The rubber is slightly squishy and I don't doubt that bunny teeth could tear through it easily. Do I need to worry about them swallowing little bits of rubber if they choose to chew it off?

It was very sweet of Paul to think of the boys and I don't want to hurt his feelings by saying we have to return the toys, but of course I'll do what's best for the rabbits.

Hi Shiloh, I bought the same toy for Wilbur & Jackie (I couldn't find the keys either).

They have chewed on the rubber parts too but i have found that they just spit that part out. I really don't think they swallowed any of it. They both really like the toys they throw it around.

Susan:)

The Wal-Mart stores sometimes have the keys, I have noticed that the one closest to me doesn't while the one in the next town over does. You can get the links without the rubber stuff on them though, and for a couple dollars cheaper. Just for next time you get them, I totally understand about you not wanting to discourage your bf's bunny interest! LOL

If you have a dollar store near you check there. That is where I got one baby keys.
