Well a man was wanting a good home for what he called a "dunlop" rabbit. I looked up "dunlop rabbit" and found nothing. I figured he was talking about a lop rabbit. Is there such thing as a dunlop?

I looked at all the pics here andmy new rabbitmost closely resembles a mini rex in a broken black color. The only thing is, the rabbit has bulging blue eyes. I tried looking for broken black with blue eyes mini rex but again I found nothing.

I know I need to post pics, but just wondering.

Thanks in advance for any help!

There is no such thing as a dunlop. He was probably told that when he bought it at a petshop or something ;)

Could be that your rabbit is Vienna Marked. Which is where the black (dominant colour ?) would also have white in it, etc. And the blue eyes would also come from it being Vienna.

Yes, pictures would be great :)

Here she is, I am wondering what breed she is and what color you would call her and if it would be different since she has blue eyes.

To me, she doesn't look like a mini rex. For color, I have no clue. But she's adorable! :D

Definitely not a Mini Rex or Rex. She has normal fur. I really have no guess on breed, based on the pictures. She looks very mixed to me.

Color is definitely Vienna marked though!

Okay thanks guys, it really doesn't matter what she is, I just like to educate myself on my animals as much as possible. Thanks for all the replies.

Oh wow! What a gorgeous girl!! Yep, broken vienna...and BEAUTIFUL!! Love those blue eyes...they're just like my Velveteen's eyes were...:)

What a dreamy girl!! :D

believe it or not she looks like a black dutch that i've seen. she's got the same face as my dutch and the blue eyes i've seen in my friends black dutch doe(bad breeding she was told)
Tis a shame you aren't in NY, or else i would wonder if that was Misty's baby. Misty had one doe that was almost all white but looked like a broken black satin, instead of the dutch she was. It definently put a new perspective on using two more mismarked dutch for the better offspring (Which all breeders have told me), this time it happened to have one really nice marked baby and one very badly marked one. Does she have a little black swirly on her left side? Maybe Misty's little girl made it to Texas(Doubt it from NY though)the kid that Rae sold the baby to moved and lost touch with her-we try to keep tabs on our pet-sold babies. The pics you did post make it look like no swirly- I can dream.
She is purdy though, nice coloring. i love her body shape and her head. (hehehehe, here comes the dutch side of me!)

poro girl, or rather poor boy, we've been calling it a she, oops. I lvoe it when my co-horts(Aunt cindy and Rach)mis sex a baby. I've gotten really good at it, but i'm not as good when it comes to identifying colors on my holland babies(Dutch i've been good about).

There's Amita's face, does look quite a bit like your boys. She's my showing(and typie) doe, though her markings aren't great

That's misty, my friends black dutch doe, though badly marked and she's got two blue eyes as well.Could he be one of her kids? she's had dutch babies looking like him before and some in the litter were absoluetly gorgeous. *shruggs* win some you lose some with these guys.

well i think he's a dutch, but very badly marked(hehehe badly marked is an understatement) and if he's truly a dutch, then he's a badly marked black dutch.

Ideas? I know there are other dutch breeders around.
