Is my bunny ok?

He seems to be currently shedding, but I noticed a hairless spot under his ear. That area usually has very little fur to begin with, but he seems to be scratching it so there is no fur and the spot is starting to darken and feels dry and hard, similar to a scab. It's not flaking or anything. I touch it and it doesn't seem to hurt him. He doesn't seem bothered that I touch it at all. I checked the rest of his body and he has no other fur less patches.

Is this something I should be worried about? Should I cover it somehow so he will stop scratching it?

Have you checked through the fur for fleas and mites and in the ears? They usually scratch like that when they have mites or fleas
The scab should be fine and heal, just try to stop him from scratching at it again
