And if it is...what do you recommend medoing? I got the white one just abit 2 weeks ago and thestore guy said its around 2 months old, and the brown one i got justabout 1 week ago, female, they said shes about 3 months.. and boy, isshe something.....she never comes out to play, she always stays in hercage in one spot looking and sometimes she keeps sniffing, or coughinalot, but anyway, should I also buy something for them to sleep in?Also, they rarely eat their foods, is it because its diet ? and theyseem to HATE their beddings, they keep tossing it to another cornor andstuff, and if there is, a good bedding that will work for new petrabbits/bunnies what isit?If you can help me out, that will be very very cool, because i dontknow if the brown bunny, amy, is sick or not and if its serious. A rule of thumb for rabbit housing is that thecage should be four times the size of the rabbit, I would have to saythat housing them both in that cage is not giving them enough room tostretch out, hop around, etc.

A very inexpensive way to build cages is to build a NIC cage...you canfind lots of information on how to do this by looking at the CheatSheet for Rabbit Care that is stickied to the top of the forum. Also bytyping in NIC cage in the search box at the top. Many members of ourforum have built their own cages this way including me. Also type inCages in the search and you can view what other members have used/builtfor their buns.

As to whether or not your little one is sick. It certainly sounds as ifshe may be and I would recommend taking her to the vet asap. If you arehousing them together and the new bunny has pasturella then your olderrabbit could contract it and it is not a curable disease, only treatedpalliatively (trying to eliminate symptoms.) Although it is not unusualfor a new rabbit to be hesitant about coming out of the safety of theircage, with the symptoms you describe I would certainly be concernedthat the little one is ill.

What type of food do you feed? What do you mean by diet food? Do theyget a constant supply of hay? Rabbits should be feed a plain pelletfood with a minimum protein level of 16%. It should not be colorfulpellet mixes, just plain pellets and lots of hay. You may also offersome veggies in limited quantity.

For bedding, I personally do not use bedding, just litter in their litter box.

Good luck and please keep us posted!

Such cute buns you have! In my honestopinion, I think that cage is too small for two buns, especially ifthey are in there all night while you sleep....I recommend you try tolitter train your rabbits, it's fairly easy, you can find many threadson this forum and websites about litter training. That way,you won't need bedding, which rabbits don't really likeanyway. If you have a Target near you, go ask them where youcan find "Neat Idea Cubes"...that is what most people on this forum useto build their rabbits cages!

Here's a link to the cages thread, this should give you an idea of whatother rabbit owner cages look like!http://www.rabbitsonline.net/view_topic.php?id=1931&forum_id=1&highlight=cages+only

Good luck!

It really hard to say if its serious sneezing canbe pasturella or allergies or other diseases.pasturella is verycontagious,Small breeds of rabbit can breed at 4 months of age.I wouldput them in seperate cages soon.I dont know what sex you were told theywere but pet stores rarely sex them right.bluebird
