Mocha is a 4 month old male and he's beendeveloping all sorts of bad litter habits (or the absolute lack ofhabits whatsoever!). His latest thing is that sometimes when he'spetted for a really long time I'll find a wet spot underneath him. Itdoesn't seem to be urine, as his is orange and this seems more or lessclear. And he didn't lift his butt or even move at all! He just toothpurrs the whole time. So is it actually just urine or is it...ejaculation while petting? I guess it's better than humping me, butit's wierd.

Oh, and he's going in to the vet's on Monday anyway. It's time for his pre-neuter checkup!

Didn't your mother ever tell you what "heavypetting" leads to? ;) Just kidding!Sorry, couldn't resist.

Are you sure it isn't urine? My buns' urine can be dark or light, depending on what they've eaten.

Are you feeding him Timothy hay and NOTAlphalpha? Dusty's urin was like that when I first got him and it wasbecause I didn't know the difference between the two hays. (Alphalphahas too much iron, I think?) In any case, his urin cleared up after Iexclusively gave him Timothy Hay and pellets.

He has been eating timothy hay since he was atthe pet store. His pellets are alfalfa-based, but that's because he'sstill young. The thing is, I've been cleaning his litterbox twice a dayfor two months plus his "accidentally on purpose" stuff outside of thecage. It's always looked orange, unless that's maybe from theCarefresh.

silly question but i need to ask

Are you feeding him a lot of carrots? Ihave found a littlecarrot goes a long way in turning a babybunnies urine orange .It doesnt seem so pronounced inadult rabbits but for the odd reasonit changes baby urine orange.

He gets small pieces of carrot several times a week.

I suppose I'm probably just over analyzing all of this. Maybe he justgets so relaxed that he loses bladder control or something.

Aren't young bunnies supposed to be fed alfalfa hay up till approx 6-8 months of age? Anyone know?

Thanks!
