Is it still a pure bred?

I've been thinking about getting another mini cashmere lop for a while and finally decided to get one. After looking around and seeing if any breeders in Sydney had what i wanted, i finally found a couple.

What i want is a REW mini or standard cashmere lop, though i would love a BEW but i don't know if you can get BEW in cashmere's. (are fuzzy lops the same breed just a different name?)

So the breeders ive found who have a couple of REW cashmere's say that both parents are mini lops but they came out with longer fur, and 1 of their parents are cashmere carriers.

I am kinda confused about this.... both parents are mini lops and if a cashmere lop is a different breed then how can 2 mini lops make a cashmere? Is a cashmere a mini lop with long fur but otherwise genetically the same? And if 2 mini lops can have a cashmere, then is that cashmere not considered pure bred because it didn't come from 2 cashmere lops?

I am so confuzzled!

:?:?:?:?

Here is a pic i have of them. She should be emailing me more soon. This is at 5 weeks.

I got an email around 1min after posting, so here are more pics! This is the one she thinks is show quality. What do you guys think? I think they were just taken, and it's night so they didn't come out the best, can't see his eyes properly. Does anyone feel that this little guy has potential? I've been asking for show quality as i would like to get into that at some point, so decided the next one i get would be the one i enter into showing with.

Cashmere Lop and Mini Cashmere lops are two different breeds.

A mini Cashmere Lop is a Mini Lop with long fur bred by two mini lop parents and is rung with the C ring and showed as a mini cashmere lop, I think that a mini cashmere lop is known as a fuzzy lop in the states.

here we have the hollands with short hair, but the fuzzy gene is Recessive. And two carriers will produce some 'fuzzy lops' better known as Fuzzy hollands

Thanks guys.

So from what i am beginning to understand (And correct me if im wrong), a mini cashmere lop is just a mini lop with long, soft fur? Like the short haired Holland vs the fuzzy lop, same breed of rabbit just different fur?

So it would be perfectly fine for me to get a cashmere to show that was born from 2 mini lops?

If mini cashmere lops are different to standard cashmere lops and come from breeding 2 mini lops, then where do the standard cashmere lops come from?

Here are pics of another rew mini cashmere lop.

Since Australia goes by the BRC Standards, i was hoping anyone familiar with it could give me their opinions on the 2 rabbits. I know you can't see everything but from what you can see, which do you think would do better? I'm inclined to say the one in this post, but im a noob when it comes to such things.
